Curry - the Perfect Dish to Cool You Down this Summer!

As the heatwave continues to take hold in the UK, it's fair to say we've become accustomed to average daily temperatures in the high-twenties - something we never thought we'd say!

With the hot snap persisting, our kitchens are facing a spell of mild neglect as the last thing we want to be doing is slaving over a hot stove, so salads and ice cream it is! Or so you thought...

Understandably, when the heat becomes too much for our bodies to bear, we naturally begin to crave cool refreshments like ice lollies and cold drinks. But did you know that this is not the best fix for your rising temperatures? In fact, it's quite the opposite!

Spicy foods such as curry are the secret but satisfying coolant we all need this summer and here's why: spicy foods make you sweat and sweating cools you down! By enjoying a spicy curry you're raising your internal temperature which causes you to sweat, which then evaporates to make you feel cooler.

Here are three recipes rich in spices to carry you through this season's heatwave - you can thank us later!
